BIG SEASON AHEAD AT EASTERN CREEK

Speedway Promotions have announced the 2022-2023 Eastern Creek Speedway season fixture schedule commencing on September 24 with Sprintcars, Midgets, Lightning Sprints and a huge fireworks display and two mighty Monster Trucks.
The season concludes on May 20 and comprises 30 fixtures during the term. The traditional Christmas-January high time of the season is jam-packed with a big variety of events with seven nights planned between December 26 and January 28, while at this stage a January 13-14 two night show is still to be confirmed.
Highlights of the season include the running of the 2023 Australian Midget Championship over two nights (March 3 and 4) and the $20,000 January 6-7 Sprintcar Sydney Royale preceded by a $10,000-to win Sprintcar main set for January 4.
The NSW Sprintcar Championship will be decided over two nights (March 31 and April 1).
“All of our major categories will be utilised for what will be a very big season of racing at the venue. This is our first full season of racing at the venue and we want to really make the upcoming season very special for everyone,” co-promoter John Kelly said.
In additions to Sprintcars, Midgets also have a big season, highlighted with the annual 50-lapper on April 20.
Late Models, Wingless Sprints, Compacts, Legend Cars, RSA Sedan and Juniors, Formula 500s, Formula 500 Juniors, Lightning Sprints, V8 Dirt Modifieds and AMCAs are all scheduled for appearances during the 2022-23 season. Super Sedans will also be included in the 2022-23 season schedule with dates still to be announced.
Two practice nights have been set down for September 3 and 17 respectively.
A demolition Derby also has been pencilled in for the final meeting of the season on May 20 but is subject to nominations.
A feature of the V8 Dirt Modifieds schedule is their NSW Championship set for January 28, while the Compacts also will race for state title honours on January 7.
In addition to a succession of major Sprintcar shows, the impressive high time features appearances by Late Models, Midgets, Legend Cars,, Wingless Sprints, AMCAs, V8 Dirt Modifieds, Compacts, Lightning Sprints, RSA Sedan and Juniors.
The high time of the season will also commence with a massive fireworks display on Boxing night (December 26), while a demolition derby also is tentatively set for January 1.
Next season’s very impressive calendar is subject to change without notice and further news stories will be posted in the countdown to what promises to be a huge season at Eastern Creek Speedway.
