A dominant display from Jamie Veal has seen him blast to his fifth feature race win in round three of the Sprintcar Track Series at Eastern Creek Speedway on Saturday October 29.

Driving the Dyson Motorsport N99, Veal started the 30-lap main event from pole and got the jump ahead of Robbie Farr and led every lap on his way to victory.
He withstood late pressure from Jessie Attard after a caution with four laps to go bunched the field up.
Attard got a good run through turns one and two on the final lap, and as Veal chose the high line, Attard went for the bottom, but the margin was too large and Veal secured the win.
“Team gave me a great car, we worked at it all night, it got better and better each time we got out,” Veal said.
“Start of the race, got going decent, the marbles were floating out through the middle so I didn’t really think too much of the top, but at the end it started to clean up a fair bit.”
Attard backed up his second place from round two with another second in round three after starting the feature from seventh.
“If he’s running the top, I had to try something else, I can’t go through him on the top, that’s just dirty racing,” Attard mentioned post-race.
“I tried the bottom and kind of almost went over in turn three and four, lucky I didn’t go over, got it back on all fours and just kept it flat stick again.”
For the third time at the venue Farr secured third in his first race back at the track this season.
It wasn’t an easy race for Farr, he battled with Lachlan Caunt in the early stages for second before dropping back to third as Attard got by him.
“First hit out of the year so have to be reasonably happy with that,” Farr said.

“Veal got a really good start on the outside there and it sort of cost us, and then I found the top in three and four and then I thought it was getting a bit dirty so we hit the bottom for a couple of laps and then Jessie got us.
“At the end of the day, Veal has been a bit of a masterclass around here since this place opened so congratulations to Jamie.”
Randy Morgan secured his best finished at the venue in fourth after starting in 11th.
Sam Walsh showed pace at the start of the night, but cut a tyre in his second heat, meaning he missed the dash and started from 10th. He was caught in traffic for most the feature before moving up to fifth by races end.
Lachlan Caunt, Daniel Sayre, Jordyn Brazier, James Thompson and Michael Saller rounded out the top-ten.
The early heat wins went to Grant Tunks, Attard, Saller, Veal, Thompson while Veal took out a dramatic Dash that saw Tunks rolling down the main straight. He was ok, but there was significant damage on his car and didn’t lineup for the feature.
Michael Stewart secured back-to-back feature race wins in the Midgets after starting 13th in the main due to a handicap feature starting system.

Stewart worked his way to the lead on lap nine of 15 when he made a three-wide pass underneath Mitch Brien and DJ Raw down the back straight.
There was heartbreak for Brien, he was running second, but with two laps to go his belts came loose and he came infield.
It handed second place to Troy Jenkins, while Raw finished third. Matthew Jackson and Jay Waugh rounded out the top-five.
“The move was sort of make it or break it, there was an opening there. It was awesome racing, you’ve got to put yourself in that position and be a bit careful of where everyone else is at,” Stewart said about his race winning pass.
Chris Davis proved too strong in the Lightning Sprints taking out the inaugural Spring Nationals main event.
Davis was out of a race seat for 18 months while he waited for the delivery and build of a new Hyper Racing Lightning Sprint.
Davis passed Matt Reed out of turn four at the completion of lap two and was never troubled from that point on.
A great battle for second formed, which went in favour of Reed, followed by Pete Styles and Jordan Binskin. Meanwhile Ally Moore had her best result at the venue in fifth.
“That was unreal. It’s taken me a very long time to build this car. It hurt lots just seeing all the competitors and everyone obviously fine tuning their cars while we were sitting on the sideline,” Davis mentioned.
Shaun Davoodi secured his maiden win at Eastern Creek Speedway, leading from start to finish in the RSA Street Stockers.
Troy Dawes was closing in during the final laps, but ran out of time to make a move, however claimed his second straight podium of the season in second.
Ray Tyler was also in the fight for the lead and had his best result at the track with third.
Finally, Coby Elliott recovered from an incident in his first heat to claim victory in the Wingless Sprints feature.
Elliott made a thrilling move down the inside of Joel Buettel on the penultimate lap.
It was a tough one to take for Buettel, who led 18 of the 20 laps, but a second place was still his best result at the track.
Andrew Sayre was third while Todd Hobson made the late trip up from Victoria to finish in fourth.
Hobson was lucky to get away with a major moment when he rode a ride rear tyre in turn three which shot the car up into the air midway through the feature. Thankfully, he landed on all four wheels but it cost him a shot at a race win.
The next event at Eastern Creek Speedway will be held on Saturday November 12, featuring Sprintcars, Wingless Sprints, AMCAs and Compact Speedcars.
