A STRONG entry list has been received for round four of the Modified Sedan South-West All Star series at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway, November 19.
Twenty-two nominations will race for honours and the line-up has plenty of quality throughout. Some of the heavy hitters of the division will be on hand including, Gary Pagel, Greg Worling, Max Clarke, Rodney Pammenter, Aidan Raymont and Nathan MacDonald.
All are proven performers, impressive winners not only at the Lismore Showground venue, but other tracks on the series trail.
It sets the scene nicely for an exciting main event where the starting position will be vital after a series of heats.
“The racing will certainly be fast and exciting and we’re sure fans will see some very keenly contested heats as the momentum builds toward the main event where points will be on offer. Kristy Bonsey will also be one to watch this weekend in the Modified Sedan South-West All Stars series,” co-promoter Kim Sauer said.
The Modified Sedans will be ably supported by Wingless Sprints, Production Sedans, RSA Four Cylinder Sedans and SSA Junior Sedans.
The Wingless division will track all three feature race winners from the season opener on November 5 – Robbie Mazzer, Ray and David Eggins.
Over 30 nominations represents a good contingent on hand. Heavy hitter Jacob Jolley will be attempting to make the breakthrough for an early season feature race victory after having been so dominant for so many seasons at the Lismore Showground venue. Senior statesman Warren King has nominated, while other stars of the category Mason Cattell, Seiton Young and Trent Martin also will race.
Production Sedan competition features the appearance of strong performers Nathan and Andrew Gordon, Matt Layton, Stuart Fawcett, Josh Boyd, Lindsay Clapham and Gerry Flood.
NSW number one Brodie King heads up the RSA Four Cylinder Sedan entries.
There’s plenty of interest in the SSA Junior Sedan ranks as the family rivalry between brother and sister Jaiden and Sophie Santin continues.
Jaiden got his 2022-23 Lismore season off to a solid start when he took out the feature at the opening November 5 meeting.
There’s an interesting name in the SSA Junior ranks to be noted and that is Erica Robinson.
She comes from a fine Lismore Speedway pedigree as she is the daughter of current Australian V8 Dirt Modified Champion Mark Robinson, while her grandfather is another four time Australian V8 Dirt Modified national titleholder – and one of the legends of the division – Steve Robinson.
Erica just wants to do her own thing without overdue expectation as she settles into the class of racing especially devoted to the youngsters.
