ALL STARS FINALLY GO GREEN
“Finally, the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series is about to kick off the 16th season this Saturday night – December 3 at Horsham’s Blue Ribbon Raceway.
“I can’t wait to see all our old teams, meet our new teams and be back at Blue Ribbon Raceway again for our opening night. Unfortunately we lost our first two rounds but everything looks good for this Saturday. Weather is good and we are all pretty keen to start,” All Stars Manager Mandy Searle said.
A strong 360 Sprintcar field of competitors have nominated for the opening night.
Mark Caruso in the Caruso Motorsport SA33 is on board again this season. Caruso, who is saddling up for his 13th assault on the series, has been the Series Champ twice, runner up once, collected an Outstanding Achievement award, been awarded Legend Status and is currently tied on the most A Main wins of the series, sitting on a total of 8 wins with Tony Moule.
Feature wins are pretty hard to come by but Caruso will be hoping to lock in another one, thus breaking the tie and starting his season strongly.
Committing to their third full time season is the Heath Hunter Motorsport’s V73 driven by Charles Hunter – winner of the prestigious Drivers’ Driver Award last season.
Hunter, who has a reputation of being one of the top gassers on the throttle, will be one to watch. Another ex-series champ to roll into the pits is Michael Tancredi’s V29. Tancredi has claimed victories in the past at Horsham and enjoys the Blue Ribbon track.
Young gun Todd Moule has just returned from another full season at Darwin’s Northline Speedway gaining more laps and more experience. With a couple of A Main wins under his belt, the D26 machine will certainly be strong.
Winner of last season’s Rookie of the Year, Jeremy Kupsch, is another to recommit in the V47. V43, Corey Sandow, NT52, Jason Bolitho, SA 11, Scott Enderl, D21 Zac Farrer, VA91 Dan Scott, V46, Jordan Abbott, VA75, Donnaz Donegan, V93, Travis Millar, V71, Marcus Green, V65, Kane Newcombe will all be looking for strong results to start their individual seasons.
A couple of new names to the series this season are Chris Temby, Angus Hollis and Jett Bell. Temby is driving the Foster Transport VIC 18 and Hollis is in the TVG Motorsport VIC44. Bell is a second generation racer with his famous father Stephen winning a 360 Australian Title back in the day. Bell is driving the very well-known Victory Lane Racegear V88. All drivers have experience in other divisions and it’s exciting to have ‘new blood’ on board this season.
