Moule takes off where he left off last season.
Young gun Todd Moule took out the win Saturday night, December 3, for the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series at Horsham,’s Blue Ribbon Raceway.
Moule raced to his first A Main victory at the Series final last season and now claims bragging rights for round one of the 2022-23 season series. The A-main treated spectators with some nail biting racing with the top five cars dicing for positions for the majority of the race. The V73 Charles Hunter and rookie Chris Temby in the V18 lined up on the front row. Hunter got the lead and was solid for 24 of the 30 laps but unfortunately the V71 machine of Marcus Green had a lose in the first turn leaving Hunter with nowhere to go.
With damage to the front end, he had to sit out the last few laps on the infield. Mark Caruso at the time was running second and he, too, sustained damage from this incident and was another driver who retired to the infield. Moule, Temby, Tancredi Campbell had all been challenging for second, third, fourth and fifth throughout, with some great driving displayed as they all manoeuvred past lapped cars. The final outcome Moule emerging as winner from Temby, Tancredi, Chris Campbell and Kane Newcombe rounding out the top five.
Loader, Millar, Bolitho, Donnaz, Kupsch, Harris and Abbott all had strong results for the rm=emaining A-main placings in the field.
The three All Star rookies can all hold their heads up high with fantastic results.
As mentioned previously, Temby has stepped into a winged 360 from the Wingless division and is racing the Foster Transport V18. His runner-up placing was a fitting reward.
The TVG V44 driver Angus ‘Hollywood’ Hollis showed talent; the ex Australian Junior Champion and with previous F500 racing, he will hopefully be a regular on the All Star circuit. Jett Bell in the V88 Victory Lane Racegear also looked very comfortable and didn’t think twice about having a go. “We were so pleased to have all of them run with us and the smiles I saw inside the helmets were special,” All Stars Manager Searle says.
