THOMAS MESERAULL LATE NSW MIDGET TITLE ENTRY
Story by: Dennis Newlyn.
Californian Thomas Meseraull is a late addition to the line-up for the 79th NSW Midget Championship at Eastern Creek Speedway, February 25.
Meseraull flew into Sydney Thursday morning to prepare for his ECS debut – in fact after leaving the airport, he headed straight to Eastern Creek Speedway to check out the circuit.
He will drive the super-fast SA #11 Bullet-Esslinger powered car out of the Melbourne-based Jordan Brothers Racing stable. It’s the same car that Kiwi Hayden Williams drove to victory in the Beasley Memorial at Warrnambool early January.
Meseraull comes to Sydney after a strong start to his 2023 American campaign running with the United States Auto Club Sprintcars.
Owner of nine USAC National Midget feature race career wins, Thomas, 41, currently sits in ninth spot in the USAC National Sprintcar standings, presently led by Brady Bacon who will also race in this Saturday night’s NSW Midget Championship.
Meseraull rounded out the 2022 season with USAC on a high note last November at Bakersfield, California, when he took out his third USAC National Midget division feature for the 2022 season – ironically it was at the same venue where 22 years earlier he won his initial main event with the Western States Midget division.
“I always have been a big fan of Thomas Meseraull and so I called him to see if he would like to have a holiday Down Under and possibly be interested in running our here for these two premier shows of the season,” Troy Jordan said.
