BRUMMIES READY TO RIDE
BIRMINGHAM have completed their line-up for 2023 with the signing of Australian racer Ty Proctor.
The 36-year-old was a treble-winner with Workington in 2018 but joins the Brummies for the Cab Direct Championship campaign on a 4.00 average after a tough time with Leicester and Berwick in recent seasons.
Team boss Laurence Rogers said: “That could be a real trump card for us.
“We know Ty hasn’t had it easy since the return from Covid but at the same time, we do know what he is capable of and he could prove to be really strong during his time at reserve in particular.“He seems to have rediscovered his enthusiasm for racing and we’re really pleased to finally have our team in place.”

FORMER World Champion Chris Holder has become the final name to be announced in the line-up for the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy at Belle Vue.
Holder, who struck gold back in 2012, is one of nine current or ex-Grand Prix riders who will compete at the National Speedway Stadium on March 20, with King’s Lynn and Scunthorpe racer Michael Palm Toft defending the title.
Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “This will be Holder’s first Peter Craven Memorial meeting and his only appearance he will make in this country for some time.
“Through his Team Australia commitments, he is familiar with the National Speedway Stadium and has put in some thoroughly entertaining performances here in the past.
“Overall, we are very happy with the field we have put together for this year’s meeting. It’s probably one of the best line-ups we’ve ever had. I am personally excited about seeing the action unfold on March 20.”
