PEDERSEN SEEKS TREATMENT
PETERBOROUGH have confirmed treble World Champion Nicki Pedersen will have treatment over the coming days after crashing out of Monday’s season opener.
The Dane is suffering with soreness in his back and also has two swollen fingers following the Heat 1 incident in the match against Ipswich. Ironically it was his first official team meeting since his 2022 campaign was ended by an horrific crash when racing for his Polish club Grudziadz against Leszno. As the Panthers await further news on Pedersen’s fitness, they have a gap in their fixture schedule until Easter Monday when they face Leicester.

IPSWICH newcomer Keynan Rew is keen to build on the positives of his Premiership debut in the Witches’ win at Peterborough.
Rew, who recovered from a serious crash in Australia over the winter to take his place for the Foxhall side, scored four points in their 48-42 victory on Monday.
That included a crucial Heat 14 effort to defeat Panthers star Benjamin Basso and ensure the visitors still held the lead ahead of a last-heat decider.
Rew said: “It was a new track for me, the first meeting with the club and the first time racing in England, but it was good.
“I would have liked to do even better, I have big expectations of myself, but I got a heat win in my last race which is something to build on.”
