AUSTRALIAN SPEEDWAY CENTENARY BROADCAST PACKAGE CONFIRMED
Organisers of the upcoming 2023 Australian Speedway Centenary, being staged at North Brisbane Speedway on December 28 and 29, have announced the preliminary broadcast schedule for the two night extravaganza.
Fox Sports Australia will be screening 4 x 60 minute programs, on a delayed basis, in prime time, throughout the month of January, 2024.
Two programs (episodes 1 and 2) will be dedicated to night one, the December 28, Sidecar Centurions Trophy, whilst the second night, on December 29, the 500cc Solo Centurion, will also be showcased in two programs (episodes 3 and 4).
The exact screening schedule for each episode will be announced soon. Each of the four episodes will be replayed several times, thus providing the Australian Speedway Centenary with considerable airtime on Foxtel.
In addition, organisers have confirmed the event, on both nights, will be live streamed, in sparkling high definition, on a subscription (purchase basis) with details to be announced in coming weeks.
The live stream coverage, commencing at 5pm EST (both nights) will feature, genuine high definition, multi camera production with animated graphics package, replays, colour stories, tech info and expert commentary provided by David Tapp and Rod Colquhoun along with at least two former World Champions joining the line-up.
The live stream production – and television show content – is being produced by Power Productions, an organisation boasting 30 years’ experience in quality content creation.
A highlight of the TV coverage, on Fox Sports, and the live stream coverage, will be the expert pit coverage provided by American legend and former World Champion, Sam Ermolenko.
Sam’s behind the scenes insight, at the North Brisbane Speedway round of the Australian Championship and the Darcy Ward Invitational earlier this year, earned rave reviews from viewers globally.
Sudden Sam is currently finalising negotiations with organisers to return to Australia to take part in the Australian Speedway Centenary.
