A TAYLAH MADE RESULT!
One of the very impressive drives in the season finale Mr Modified Series Grand Final at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway on April 24 was turned in by youngster Taylah Firth.
No, she did not win the demanding 40-lap decider; no, she did not finish runner-up and no, she did not place third, but take nothing away from her as she toughed it out and ultimately finished ninth.
But, more importantly, she drove the first Sportsman category car home to the chequered flag and it what was a mighty effort.
She also put down some very quick laps, with her best time 14.668 second for a speed of 98.173 km/h.
A great effort all round.
“I can’t thank Andrew Firth, my number one pit crew, enough,” she said.
She also knows it takes good sponsors to make such a result happen.
“I also want to thank my sponsors, namely Hession’s Auto Parts, Penrite Oil, Russell’s Race Engines, Speedway Stickers, Cleavers Mechanical Repairs, Grafton City Batteries and Computer Trouble Shooters.”
Well done, all round.
